What is ActiveMarc Cymru accreditation?
ActiveMarc Cymru is awarded to schools that can demonstrate a commitment to developing high quality PE and School Sport. When a school commits to applying for an ActiveMarc Cymru award, it engages in a process of self evaluation whereby strengths and areas for development are identified. The application form is aligned to the Estyn framework based on the 7 key questions.
Who can enter?
- Primary schools
- Infant Schools
- Junior Schools
- Secondary Schools
- Special Schools
- Independent Schools
ActiveMarc Cymru is not designed to identify schools with the best facilities. The focus is on quality provision and high standards.
What will you get?
Schools that achieve ActiveMarc Cymru status will receive a certificate and will be able to display the ActiveMarc Cymru logo on school documentation and websites for 3 years.
When is the deadline for applications?
The deadline for receiving the online applications is Friday 27th February 2009. Applications will be sent to ActiveMarc Cymru and received centrally by an administrator.
