Energising your community's spirit
At the Sports Council for Wales, our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. So as part of our Active Communities programme we're working with local groups to improve the health of the nation.
We're encouraging everyone to take some form of moderate intensity exercise 5 days a week. We're asking adults to be active for 30 minutes a day, and children for 60 minutes.
We all know that healthy individuals lead longer, happier lives. An active lifestyle broadens horizons and strengthens body and mind - so think how sharing physical activity can improve the life in your community.
Voluntary organisations, community groups and sports clubs, along with better use of community buildings and outdoor facilities, can help us to forge more vibrant communities - and make a healthy difference to the people of Wales.
