Medical support

Élite Cymru and UK Pathway members are provided with comprehensive medical support. Élite Cymru members can access physiotherapy sessions with the lead physiotherapist based at the Welsh Institute of Sport or with an approved chartered physiotherapist.

Élite Cymru also covers other medical costs such as consultations, scans and surgery up to a maximum of £4,000 per year. A network of physiotherapists and specialists has been developed in order to fast track the referral system for Élite Cymru members. The Sports Council for Wales contracts a Sports Medicine Doctor and Sports Massage Therapist to help deliver the medical service.
