Coached by Chris Lewis in his hometown of Cardiff, he registered three victories in last year’s ITF event at Winchester, and soon after reached the final in County Cork playing at the Rushbrooke School in Cobh.
Milton began playing tennis when he received his first racket on his fifth birthday and subsequently joined Cardiff Tennis Club. He now trains up to eighteen hours a week at the Welsh National Tennis Centre as a leading player of the Cardiff Esporta junior tennis initiative.
He was awarded a place at the New National Tennis Centre in Roehampton which opened in 2007, and practices at the south west London base.
Milton was on show to locals last year at the Celtic Manor Resort playing doubles with former Wimbledon sensation Pat Cash and seasoned star Henri Leconte in an exhibition match.
He hopes to be present when Pat Cash and Henri Leconte comes to the Celtic Manor again for the return of the Invitational Trophy tennis tournament on July 14th and 15th, where they will be joined by 1996 Wimbledon singles champion Richard Krajicek and Peter Fleming, four time Wimbledon doubles champion with John McEnroe.
